Activities Planned:
Check out the Schedule of Events for all the programs and be sure to join in one, two or all of the events! You'll be able to listen to Kevin speak at the MSU Convocation on Sept. 8 or join in multi-generational book discussions. If you're feeling daring, longboard or skateboard ride with him on Sept. 21 from the MSU campus to Starky's where you'll be able to enjoy free appetizers and have informal conversations over a beer or soda. There will be other opportunities to meet Kevin or listen to a radio interview, as well.

If you are interested in getting together with a group of peers to discuss the book, meet at Sola Cafe on Sept. 24 for free iced tea and healthy appetizers. There are also kids activities, book discussions, and much, much more! Really, something for everyone. Contact Paula at the Bozeman Library Foundation 582-2426 or director@bozemanlibraryfoundation.org for more info or to schedule a discussion leader.

Reactions to Double Take:
“Kevin Connolly has used an unusual physical circumstance to create a gripping work of art. This deeply affecting memoir will place him in the company of Jeanette Walls and Augusten Burroughs.” Sara Gruen, author of Water for Elephants

“Beautiful, revealing, and stimulating...[Connolly] is a good storyteller...whether describing his first high school wrestling match, the path from novice to champion skier or what it’s like to travel around the world on a skateboard.” Publishers Weekly (starred review)

“A courageous, immensely rewarding chronicle expressed in arresting words and pictures.” Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

“Life’s most successful survivors meet adversity head on, with an unflinching eye, candor and with humor. Kevin Connolly has such an eye and weaves a rich memoir from the gut about his amazing journey through life.” Lee Woodruff, author of In an Instant.
